Rabbit Agility We are also learning about rabbit agility and how to train them. Having rabbits train to do these jumps helps them to get exercise. Rabbits can’t stay in the cages all day. They need to be out in a pen to run around or doing rabbit Agility. If you want to learn more about rabbit agility and to make jump and ramps, please look in our resource page labeled Rabbit agility and training in the categories Trimming Rabbit Nails We also covered why it is important to trim your rabbits nails. Since pet rabbits are not able to dig and wear down their claws inside your house, or apartment, their nails will invariably grow too long. Keeping your bun’s nails at an appropriate length is very important. Long nails may potentially curl into your rabbit’s foot, or they may snag on something, causing great discomfort to your pet. To learn more about how to clip rabbit nails, please look in our resource section under trimming rabbit nails. | Rabbit costumes We dressed up our rabbits in costumes and took some pictures of them. Soon we will have enough pictures to build a calendar to sell as a fundraiser. The pumpkin and witch costumes were the most popular. Not all bunnies like to be dressed up but some did. You can find costumes at any pet store. The best time to get them is when the clearance happens after each holiday. You can also make a costume for your bunny. Look in the resource section for a basic costume design and ideas for your bunny. Dressing up your rabbit is a 4-H event. They actually have contest on the best outfits. The Pot-of-Gold rabbit show in Hollister, CA is the closest one to do these kinds of events. They Do the rabbit hopping, races, rabbit dress-up and showmanship. |
